हाफ पैंट पहनकर पहुंचा पुलिस थाने तो सुननी पड़ीं गालियां, फेसबुक पर शेयर किया दर्द और वीडियो
महाराष्ट्र के कल्याण में रहने वाले मंगेश देसाले का आरोप है कि जब वो अपने पासपोर्ट वैरिफिकेशन के लिए स्थानीय पुलिस थाने पहुंचे तो उनके संग बदतमीजी की गयी क्योंकि उन्होंने हाफ पैंट पहन रखी थी। मंगेश की पोस्ट फेसबुक पर वायरल हो रही है। इसे अभी तक 1700 से ज्यादा लोग शेयर कर चुके हैं। मंगेश ने अपनी पोस्ट के साथ दो वीडियो भी शेयर किए हैं। मंगेश की पोस्ट के अनुसार मामला खड़कपड़ा पुलिस थाने का है। मंगेश ने लिखा है, “मैंने शॉर्ट्स पहन रखा था इसलिए वो मुझ पर चिल्लाने लगे। मैंने पूछा कि क्या पुलिस थाने में कपड़ों को लेकर कोई नियम है। उन्होंने मुझे कोई नियम नहीं दिखाया और कहा कि ये इंडिया है अमेरिका नहीं। हम आजाद देश में जीते हैं और हमारे पास अपनी पसंद के कपड़े पहनने का हक है बशर्ते कि कोई लिखित नियम न हो।”
मंगेश ने दो पुलिसवालों के वीडियो भी बनाए। पुलिस वाले मंगेश से पूछ रहे हैं, “ये पुलिस थाने आना वाला ड्रेस है?” वीडियो में पुलिसवाले ये पूछते भी नजर आ रहे हैं कि क्या उसे (मंगेश) कपड़े पहनने की तमीज नहीं है? कपड़ों के बारे में नियम के बाब पूछने पर पुलिसवाले भड़क गये। मंगेश का आरोप है कि पुलिसवाले ने उन्हें धक्का मारकर थाने से बाहर निकाल दिया। मंगेश ने फेसबुक के अलावा ट्विटर पर भी अपनी शिकायत साझा की और मुंबई पुलिस के ट्विटर अकाउंट को टैग किया। मुंबई पुलिस ने मंगेश की शिकायत का संज्ञान लेते हुए कहा कि वो मामले की जांच कर रही है।
जिस पुलिस थाने के खिलाफ मंगेश ने शिकायत की है उसके एक अधिकारी ने मिड डे अखबार से कहा कि उन्होंने केवल इतना कहा कि पुलिस थाने में उचित कपड़े पहनकर आना चाहिए। पुलिसवाले ने अखबार से कहा कि थाने में महिलाएं भी आती हैं और वो (मंगेश) इंजीनियर है तो उसे सलीका और थाने में आने का तरीका पता होना चाहिए।

I asked them if there is any rule of dress code in police station. They did not show me any rules but said this is India not America. We live in free country and we have right to choose our clothes unless its written rule. For arguing with them for this, they kept threatening me that they will file case on me also they manhandled me and took me out of police station forcibly. Police are to protect our freedom not to destroy it.
